Meredith Heuer grew up in Detroit and spent a decade in New York City. Her work has taken her around the world for publications such as Fortune and Gourmet. Meredith was chosen as one of Photo District News' 30 emerging artists and has received numerous awards for her photography including, most recently, a grant for her Beacon Portrait Project from the New York State Council for the Arts. Her work has a painterly quality with a deep focus on color and its emotional impact. She currently lives in Beacon, NY with her husband, two sons and a couple of chickens.
She has photographed five books: At Home in the Hudson Valley and Haven by Allison Serrell with Chronicle Books, How to Sharpen Pencils by David Rees with Melville House, Side by Side by Tsia Carson with Roost Books and Six Basic Cooking Techniques by Jennifer Clair.
